9 Samhain 11.15am–12.00pm/12.45–1.30pm

Tá na sióga ag tabhairt cuireadh dúinn cuairt a thabhairt ar an domhain draíochtach atá thart timpeall orainn ar fad; an domhain nadúrtha. Bíodh sé i measc na mbláthanna, ar bharr na gcrann, faoi scath na gealaí láine nó faoin tonn, tá comhluadar ceolmhar sí ag fanacht leat agus ag súil lena véarsaí draíochtacha a roinnt leat!

Tar le Gráinne Holland agus a cairde ceolmhara ar aistear go domhan draíochta an aosa sí. Tríd scéalta, amhráin, ceol agus damhsa, beidh muid faoi dhraíocht an domhain nádúrtha.

The fairies are inviting you to visit the magical world around us: the natural world. You’ll find them among the flowers, hiding in tops of the trees, in the shade of the full moon or under the waves. The fairies are waiting to share their songs with you.

Join singer, songwriter and storyteller Gráinne Holland and band on a journey to the magical world of the fairy folk. Through stories, songs, music and dance we shall explore the magic and beauty of nature.

10 Samhain 11.00am–12.00pm

Bhí plean déanta ag Emily Porter dá laethanta saoire samhraidh i 1994; bhí sí chun fanacht sa leaba go dtí meán lae agus an chuid eile den lá a chaitheamh lena cara is fearr, Olivia. Ach i ngan fhios di, bhí plean eile ag a tuismitheoirí. Plean cruálach. Plean gránna. Plean díoltasach… Bhí Emily le cur in aghaidh a tola, chuig Coláiste Samhraidh sa Ghaeltacht – nó An Jailtacht mar a thug Emily air!

Emily had a plan for her summer holidays in 1994: she would stay in bed until noon and then spend the rest of each day with her best friend, Olivia. But without her knowing, her parents had a different plan. A cruel plan. A horrid plan. A vengeful plan … Againsther wishes, Emily was to be sent to a Gaeltacht  Summer College … or as she called it, the Jailtacht!

DIALANN EMILY PORTER:
THÍOS SEAL, THUAS SEAL

Le Richie Conroy

(Aois 14–15)

The Studio Level 1 | Saor in aisce/Free (Schools Event)

10 Samhain 12.30–1.30pm

Tá Emily Porter sona sásta. Tá sí féin agus Cian ag dul amach ‘go hoifigiúil’, tá sí san idirbhliain anois (níl aon staidéar le déanamh ar feadh bliana), agus tá múinteoir nua ar scoil atá spreagúil, cineálta agus an-dathúil! Ach, ní fada go dtosaíonn rudaí ag dul in olcas don déagóir bocht. Agus tá rún mór le scaoileadh ag Mam agus Daid a athróidh saol Emily ó bhun go barr.

Emily Porter is happy out. Herself and Cian are officially going out, she’s in transition year now (no homework for a year), and there’s a new teacher who is inspiring and a total lash! But it’s not long before things unravel. She has problems galore – with her best friend Olivia, at home and with her boyfriend. If that wasn’t bad enough, her Mam and Dad have a big secret to share that will turn Emily’s life upside down.

Emily Brontë and Emily Dickinson are literary icons and Emily Porter is delighted that her diary is adding to the literary tradition of the Emilys.
