Anocht beidh triúr scríbhneoirí ag léamh as saothar atá idir lámha acu. Scríbhneoir scripte le Ros na Rún, file agus craoltóir
é Cathal Póirtéir a léifidh as úrscéal uaidh, Toil an Tiarna. Suite i nDún na nGall le linn an Ghorta Mhóir, insíonn sé faoin gcoimhlint ghéar a tharla idir tiarna talún Protastúnach agus sagart Caitliceach agus iad ar aon ag iarraidh a bheith i gceannas ar phobal beag. Bhí an-ráchairt ar Céard É English? le Lorcán S. Ó Treasaigh agus thaitin sé leis na léirmheastóirí chomh maith leis an ngnáthphobal. Baineann an saothar is déanaí leis Cnoc na Lobhar le seanduine atá ag iarraidh cuimhneamh siar ar shnáitheanna casta a shaoil. Léifidh Réaltán Ní Leannáin as Josefina a leanann scéal mná óige as Málta ón ár i nGallipoli go dtí Trioblóidí na bhFichidí i mBéal Feirste cois cuain.

Tonight three writers will read from work-in-progress. Poet, Ros na Rún scriptwriter and broadcaster Cathal Póirtéir will read from his forthcoming first novel Toil an tiarna. Set in Donegal during the Great Famine, it tells the story of a bitter conflict between a Protestant landlord and Catholic priest as they struggle for control of a small community. Lorcán S Ó Treasaigh is the author of the critically acclaimed bestseller Céard É English? His most recent novel, Cnoc na Lobhar, explores the shifting nature of memory as an old man recalls the complex strands of his life. Réaltán Ní Leannáin will read from Josefina, her forthcoming novel that follows a young Maltese woman’s fortunes from the slaughter at Gallipoli to the Troubles in 1920s Belfast.
